Shirley's House-Beautiful In Town House

From Shirley's house you can easily walk to everything in the little town (groceries, cafe, bar, ice cream, library, farmer's market), but there's no town traffic at the house itself. Everything works well, the kitchen is well supplied (love those knives!), and the deck out front is wonderful for having folks over or just watching people and their pups go by. There are four bedrooms (2 in each of the two separate upstairs) and a fifth bed downstairs that's in an alcove- if you're the type who's last to bed but first to get up that's a great pick (and coolest at night). Only one of the two separate"upstairs" has a bathroom, so the other uses the 1st floor bath. Like all old houses here, the steps are steep, and watch your head. Both bathrooms are spacious and modern. I'd like to especially thank Angela, of Vinahaven Vacation Rentals, who went out fo her way to let us know what would be open at the time of our arrival (on a late ferry, Sunday) in Vinalhaven, and very graciously offered to stock our fridge for us before our arrival. I also highly recommend Vinalhaven Veggies- really tasty, grown on the island. Don't forget to hit Greet's Eats for a lobster or crab roll. Again, all walkable form Angie's house.
